Our Story
Brad turned his love of cooking into Jawbone BBQ, a catering company founded in 2014. Starting out as cooking for family and friends, the company grew through word of mouth and a reputation of having authentic barbeque, great sauces and mouth-watering sides. Our services are perfect for any event, whether it is casual or dressy, festive or formal.

In 2019, it was time to begin another journey. Jawbone BBQ expanded with the opening of Meats and More. The meat shop was established to showcase various cuts of meat including beef, chicken and pork. Mike Brennan, former co-owner of the Jamestown IGA, will be the expert meat cutter. Mike is well known in the community for his expertise and knowledge in the industry.

Since opening you might see our oldest son, Austin, popping in to help but certainly you will see our youngest son, Logan, who has taken over managing our evening shift. He will also be helping to design our new space at the former Boone County Uniques building. We hope to have it open by the end of January.
A Family Venture!
This is a family venture. Brad’s wife, Melody, is also a significant part of the business and helps out in all areas of both companies, Jawbone BBQ and Meats and More. Melody will be managing catering events.
Joining Mike at Meats and More will be Jenna Thomas, Brad’s daughter. Jenna will be managing the meat shop. Jenna will be the smiling face greeting you behind the counter at Meats and More!
